Dr. Ashita has around 17 years of corporate and academic experience. She has worked in Business & Marketing Strategy at Reliance Communications and as marketing manager at IMS Learning resources handling sales, marketing and new product development. She has conducted consumer research for organisations and brands including Maruti, HP, Cargill India, Samsung etc. for developing marketing strategy and worked on assignments on brands including Gillette, Nerolac, All-out, R-Mall etc. and NGOs on marketing communication design and brand strategy.
Dr. Ashita has approximately 6 years of industry experience and over 11 years of teaching experience. Her passion is Brand Management and takes courses on communication and brand management across various programmes at SPJIMR. She has also held administrative positions at business schools in International Relations, Brand Management and Public Relations. Dr. Ashita has conducted several training programmes for government and non-governmental organisations in Brand Building and Interpersonal Communications.Her research interests are in Consumer-Brand Relationships and Marketing of Education. She has published award winning cases in marketing and brand strategy at Emerald and Ivey and research papers in journals of repute. Dr. Ashita published articles in newspapers and magazines and is regularly quoted in Brand Equity.
Dr. Ashita has been teaching marketing simulations for more than 10 years now and is a great believer in "Learning by Doing".
