Overview

A substantial part of SPJIMR’s commitment to wise innovation is providing a forum where various stakeholders can meet and explore pathways to innovate responsibly and inclusively, giving due consideration to socio-environmental priorities. The latest in the series of ongoing initiatives at SPJIMR’s Wise Innovation Studio for Emerging Technologies (WISE Tech) is the Technology and Societal Impact Conference (TaSIC), scheduled on February 21-22, 2025, in Mumbai.

TaSIC is a multi-stakeholder conference that will bring together leading scholars, chief innovation officers, CSR officers, public policy players, and student innovators interested in better-harnessing technology to create environmental and social benefits.

The contributions, conversations, and deliberations at the conference, the first in a series of such conferences planned to be organised annually subsequently, will help set a more comprehensive future research agenda to promote socially sensitised innovations. It aims to guide managerial decisions to implement technology after careful consideration of its broader consequences. The conference will culminate with the felicitation of exemplary Indian companies for their technology-based innovations that create significant societal benefits.

Providing a distinct platform to each key stakeholder group, the conference comprises an Academic Track, a Research and Action Track, a Student Ideathon and Wise Innovation Awards.
