The students of Post Graduate Programme in Family Managed Business (PGP-FMB) at SPJIMR wait with bated breath for the announcement and commencement of the annual flagship fest, #Dhandha (meaning business). The fest’s unique trait is that it is of the students, by the students and for the students. Playing a key role in organizing the fest end to end, #Dhandha provides the students a platform to strengthen their applied knowledge and skill sets as they encounter real life problems.
The future entrepreneurs form varied committees and groups as they plan to execute activities for the fest. In the first half of the fest, the students play games and participate in activities such as Hogathon, fashion shows, tug of war, helium balloon game, quiz and solo performances. In the evening, they witness the performance by rock band stars. The committee and the winner of the activities are awarded and felicitated as the day ends.
The fest drives students to come out of the digital world and engage on ground with their peers, seniors, faculty members and other stakeholders. The students get an opportunity to polish their skills and capabilities in team building, leadership, communication, problem-solving and networking. The fest brings out the creative wit of the students to the fore as they toil hard to achieve new milestones as they look forward to emerge as leaders in their areas of expertise.
As the fest culminates, the students not only attain experience in managing a hi-end event, they also take back with them memories to be cherished for life.
