Personal Growth Lab (PG Lab): Learning beyond academics

July 12, 2024

SPJIMR Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management Business Management (PGDM(BM)) cohort 2024-26 engaged in immersive learning beyond classrooms, during the Personal Growth Lab (PG Lab) conducted in Lonavala from July 10-12, 2024. The Personal Growth Lab (PG Lab) remains an integral part of the organisational behaviour course at SPJIMR. It is aims to foster in our participants self-awareness (Me into Me), appreciating individual differences (Me and You), and building cohesive teams (Me to We) through dynamic huddles of small, medium, and large group interactions.

Faculty facilitators, led by Prof. Lata Dhir included professors Sumita Datta, Mihir Ajgaonkar, Snehal Shah, and Amit Jain. They guided participants to understand themselves and others better and develop interaction and collaboration skills to strengthen their understanding of groups and organisations. The meticulously planned outbound immersive experience was put together by course coordinators Ms. Madhura Gondhalekar, Ms. Shaswati Saha, and Ms. Shivani Askulkar, supported by the PGDM and PGDM(BM) programme team.

The overwhelming response from participants underscored PG Lab’s success in facilitating experiential learning beyond academics. Participants explored building relationships, identifying their emotions, appreciating individual differences, managing conflicts, and delving into self-discovery through assessments, experiential exercises, and rigorous outbound activities. This innovative learning experience pioneered by SPJIMR and led by Prof. Lata Dhir has been profoundly impacting our students and alumni alike for more than 20 years now.
