Seminar style Specialization Courses is a pedagogy unique to doctoral teaching. The faculty aggregates a select set of classic and contemporary research papers. These papers are critiqued and analysed by scholars and faculty.
At the end of these courses, the participants are required to submit term-paper(s) in their topic/area of interest for evaluation. Almost all doctoral level seminars during the Coursework phase lead to a creation of research proposals that scholars may pursue for publication in renowned international journals.
The coursework phase comprises a total of 30 credits and 600 classroom hours. At the end of the coursework phase, a qualifying exam will be held, which tests the understanding of the literature in the candidate’s field of interest. This evaluation may combine both methodological and substantive areas as illustrated below.
