Mentors Meet

 

SPJIMR’s Post Graduate Programme in Development Management (PGPDM) organised the Mentors' Meet for Batch 20 which was attended by mentors, participants and alumni, faculty and staff.

Mr. Samaan Shekhar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Jabalpur Division, MP and Vice Chancellor, Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur was the guest speaker who shared his insights on “How can government and non-government organizations work together for better impact of social policies and interventions".

Dr. Varun Nagaraj, Dean, SPJIMR, spoke about innovation in the social sector through sustainable innovation, social innovation and digital social innovation. Dr. Tanoj Meshram, PGPDM Chairperson briefed about mentor-mentee relationship, role of the mentor in PGPDM and need for all the stakeholders to work together. Other speakers from SPJIMR were Prof. Prabhat Pani and Prof. Deepa Krishnan.

 

 

SPJIMR’s Post Graduate Programme in Development Management (PGPDM) conducted the Mentors' Meet for Batch 19 virtually with the mentors, participants, faculty, and staff in attendance.

Guest speaker Mr. Aniket Doegar, CEO and co-founder of HESPL (Haqdarshak Empowerment Solutions Private Limited), a social impact organisation working on easing access to welfare, shared his insights on how he is creating impact at scale.

Dean, Dr. Varun Nagaraj, spoke about the vision of SPJIMR and the Mentor-Mentee relationship. SPJIMR faculty Prof. Prabhat Pani, Prof. Deepa Krishnan, Dr. Chandrika Parmar, Dr. Debmallya Chatterjee, and Dr. Suranjan Das in their addresses spoke about the various pedagogical interventions that make programmes in SPJIMR unique and relevant.

The event concluded with the sharing of the experiences by the mentors about how their mentees have benefited from the PGPDM program and the value-addition in their organisations through the application of the program participants’ learnings.

 

 

SPJIMR’s Post Graduate Programme in Development Management (PGPDM) conducted its first-ever virtual Mentors Meet for Batch 17 and 18. In attendance were the mentors of the participants, an accomplished guest speaker, SPJIMR faculty, staff and programme participants.

The eminent speaker of the event Ms. Mitali Nikore, Founder of Nikore Associates, shared her insights about the Annual Budget 2021 and its impact on the social sector and allocation for different sectors and ministries.

SPJIMR Associate Dean, Dr. Preeta George spoke about Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and lauded the uniqueness of SPJIMR amongst all Management schools in India. The event had short addresses by SPJIMR faculty, Prof. Prabhat Pani, Prof. Deepa Krishnan, Dr. Chandrika Parmar, Dr. Debmallya Chatterjee, and Dr. Suranjan Das, who gave a brief introduction about SPJIMR’s Centre of Education in Social sector (CEdSS), the Abhyudaya programme, the Development of Corporate Citizenship (DoCC), Development Management Research and Design Thinking modules, etc, which makes the PGPDM programme, unique in India and internationally.

The event concluded with the sharing of the experiences by the mentors as to how their mentees have benefited from the learnings of the PGPDM program.
