Dr. Ashok Dubey is a senior scientist and the Nutrition Sciences Lead at Tata Chemicals, where he spearheads innovative research and development initiatives in the field of nutraceuticals. With over 21 years of experience in biotechnological research and project coordination, Dr. Dubey brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His extensive background encompasses new product development and its commercialisation, customer engagement, business planning and seeding next-generation technologies for the future.
Dr. Dubey currently leads the Nutrition and Biosciences Innovation Centre in Pune and the Innovation Centre in Mambattu at Tata Chemicals. He specialises in molecular biology, fermentation technology, microbiomics, metabolomics, and genomics to develop and commercialise new products and processes. He plays a crucial role in scaling up processes and commercialising products and technologies, ensuring that innovative solutions reach the market effectively.
Dr. Dubey holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore and an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from M.S. University of Baroda. His postdoctoral experience includes stints at prestigious institutions such as Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Louisiana State University Health Science Center, New Orleans, and the University of Osnabrueck, Germany.
