SPJIMR announced the formation of its new Student Council for the academic year 2024-25, marking another milestone in empowering student representation and voice on campus. The council members were elected through a rigorous process that involved nominations, campaigning, and voting, ensuring a fair and democratic selection. Our newly elected council members are set to lead and advocate for the student community at SPJIMR, upholding the institution’s values and traditions while striving to enrich the overall student experience and Life@SPJIMR.

This year SCON will be spearheaded by three Presidents, who will oversee the council’s operations and ensure smooth functioning. The Treasurers will handle financial management and budgeting to maintain transparency and accountability. Our Cultural Secretaries will bring vibrancy to campus life by organising various festivals and events. The General Secretaries of Sports will manage sports inventories, coordinate tournaments, and promote mental well-being among students. The General Secretaries of Health & Infrastructure will focus on student well-being and manage infrastructure-related aspects such as hostels and the mess. The General Secretaries of Professional Development will nurture professional growth through clubs dedicated to consulting, analytics, product management, and more.

The Investiture ceremony, held on February 29, 2024, marked the culmination of the election process and the formation of SCON. This journey was made possible by the invaluable guidance of Dean Prof. Varun Nagaraj, Associate Dean Prof. Renuka Kamath, and Prof. Vineeta Dwivedi from the Student Affairs body. The council will work in close collaboration with Ms Daya Sajnani, who will be acting as the Director of Student Affairs, providing continuous support and guidance to ensure the council’s success. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to these individuals for their unwavering commitment and dedication.

Special thanks to the Election Commission members: Aditya Manolkar, Tanay Kejriwal, Manasa B and Pallavi Madhavan from PGDM/BM, and Shubhadip Banik and Ibaad Mukaddam from PGPM for ensuring a smooth and fair election process.
