Brief description

This initiative, in collaboration with Aavas Foundation and PraveenLata Sansthan Foundation aimed to delve into the intricacies of rural women entrepreneurship across ten villages in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It sought to uncover the underlying motivations that propel women to start their own ventures, the obstacles they encounter along the way, and the leadership qualities they develop in the process. Through in-depth interviews and focused group discussions, the study illuminated the multifaceted challenges faced by rural women entrepreneurs, including limited access to education and capital, social and cultural barriers, and time constraints due to household responsibilities. Despite these hurdles, the research showcased the resilience and determination of these women, buoyed by support from stakeholders and mentorship programmes. The findings underscored the transformative potential of rural women’s entrepreneurship in driving economic development and social empowerment within their communities.
