The study was conducted in rural government schools of Tamil Nadu, India, in collaboration with eVidyaloka, aiming to investigate the overlap between memory retention in adolescent middle school Students and the role of ICT enablement in enhancing memory retention. Through an exhaustive analysis of teaching practices, the study examined the efficacy of traditional classroom methods versus ICT-enabled virtual learning paired with conventional classroom methods. The findings unveiled significant disparities in learning approaches and outcomes, emphasising the transformative potential of ICT in education. By elucidating the impact of ICT on memory retention among students in rural Tamil Nadu, the study contributes valuable insights into educational practices and policy considerations both within the region and beyond.
