Brief description
The study aimed to assess stress and burnout among AYUSH ( Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) doctors during the COVID-19 pandemic in Odisha. Findings revealed significant levels of physical and mental exhaustion among participants, with many expressing susceptibility to illness, frustration, and irritability. Despite their resilience, AYUSH doctors faced considerable stressors, including fear of infection, prolonged duty hours, and witnessing patient deaths. This study sheds light on the challenges faced by AYUSH doctors and underscores the need for comprehensive support mechanisms to address stress and burnout in healthcare settings.
