The project focused on the systemic challenges within the Indian education system concerning deaf students. It recognised the inadequacy of existing models in catering to the diverse needs of deaf learners, leading to high dropout rates after the tenth grade and limited academic and professional opportunities. This disparity is exacerbated by the absence of standardised teaching methods and insufficient screening techniques, particularly in rural areas, resulting in delayed recognition of deafness and subsequent educational challenges.
