The PGPM programme at SPJIMR would like to express its sincere gratitude towards our recruiters who have visited our campus and offered varied and multiple roles, reinforcing its trust in the leadership skills of our PGPM participants.
The PGPM programme for the year 2017, with a batch size of 138 participants, offered a diverse pool of top-notch experienced talent to our recruiters. The placement season, as it unveiled in September 2017, witnessed a surge in recruiting companies which spanned across domains, such as Consulting, IT, Manufacturing, E-Commerce, Automotive and others, primarily due to the diversity of experience and functional expertise of the participants.
The placement season for the class of 2017 witnessed a remarkable surge in participation from 78+ companies, of which 26% of the recruiting companies participated for the first time. The Class of 2017 raised the bar on placement growth metrics in a challenging year. The average package for the batch went up to INR 18 LPA and the highest CTC offered was INR 29.58 LPA. The season saw an overwhelming response from companies spanning across various functions such as Consulting, IT, General Management, Finance, Strategy, Sales and Marketing, SCM and Operations.
The year 2017 saw entry of many new aspirational recruiting companies such as Ashok Leyland, Future, Henkel, Paytm, Rivigo to name a few. Our esteemed consistent recruiting companies - Accenture, Deloitte, Edelweiss, E&Y, Fidelity Investments, Flipkart, Gartner, Genpact, KPMG, Syntel to name a few had come with multiple roles catering to the diverse competencies of the participants. Companies such as Ashok Leyland and Cummins with a bid to increase gender diversity hired women participants of the PGPM program for their exclusive Leadership Programme.
