Post-Graduate Certificate in International Management

Over the last few years, SPJIMR has been pursuing unique pedagogical initiatives in the field of management education. Continuing these innovations, SPJIMR has introduced a program in the discipline of International Management called PGCIM (Post Graduate Certificate in International Management) in collaboration with reputed foreign universities. Any education in International Management is incomplete without the participant studying in an international environment, where the participanthas an opportunity to soak in diverse cultures by interacting with international peers, learn foreign languages hence getting the best international exposure. This exposure helps them acquire diverse industry insights and perform better in an international business environment.

The participant initially spends 6 months at SPJIMR campus in Mumbai wherein they are taught core management courses by experienced SPJIMR faculty along with reputed professors from foreign universities. They are also immersed in the unique SPJIMR way of course delivery i.e. learning by doing. On successful completion of 6 months, they are awarded PGCIM certification by SPJIMR. This certificate is recognized by foreign universities having tie-ups with SPJIMR, as equivalent to the initial part of their MBA/MIB program. The participants can then complete the rest of their management education in foreign universities by taking up courses in the final semester of MBA/MIB at these universities.

Positioning and Philosophy

Participant Need

This program is designed for working professionals with a minimum experience of 2 years in the industry and in need of international orientation. The course leverages on the work experience of the participants and aims to develop further insights into theirrespective areas of interest. The faculty and participants enrich their knowledge by active sharing of past experiences while appreciating the concept of management.

Industry Need

The program targets to create global managers to meet the international aspirations of companies, typically multinationals from Europe and India. Participants aim to become experts in European and Indian markets and target corporations interested in exploiting business opportunities in India and Europe. They acquire all essential business skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary and international teams along with a deep understanding of integrated company management and the ability to lead professionally in international business scenario.
