Milan 2016 - The Annual PGPM Alumni Meet
Milan took off this year at the SPJIMR campus on September 3, 2016 with the theme ‘Remember, Refresh and Reunite.’ The day was power-packed with stand-ups, dances and karaoke performances by the alumni, faculty and students alike. The event was formally inaugurated with a welcome address by Dr. Suresh Lalwani, Chairperson, PGPM. The 2016 theme was an invitation to the alumni to recall old memories, refresh their college experiences and to reunite.
Dr. Lalwani said, “Alumni meets are all about nostalgia. The highs and lows you faced, the wonderful people you met, the laughs and the cries - everything form a memorable part of your college life.”
Talking about the PGPM programme, he said, “The PGPM programme is growing in leaps and bounds in all aspects. The programme’s hundred per cent placement record says it all. We are now a programme approved by AICTE which enhances the credibility of the programme in its rigour, quality and esteem.”
Dean Dr. Ranjan Banerjee spoke about brand SPJIMR and the new logo, offering insights on the larger SPJIMR story and the initiative to refresh the brand. This was followed by an interactive session by the Alumni Relations Head Prof. Aditi Divatia. The current batch showcased their talent through scintillating dance and comedy shows. The PGPM band ‘Cutting Chai’ put up a magical show that drew alumni and faculty on stage for karaoke performances.
